Laptop Swing
swinging around
I built a laptop stand for my desk today because it’s always full of so much garbage. Made from Hemlock and rope; It looks like a swing and holds my notebooks too.

"Cut" by Mikael Löfström
“Cut” by Mikael Löfström
Right before starting my 5 week train trip last summer I was lucky to have spent a short time interning at the office of Mikael Löfström. During my time there I was mostly working on a series of sideboards and stools which he has now released.

Clocks
clocks!
Made these clocks for the Student Art Sale this weekend. The description reads:
‘These clocks serve as a reminder to go out and explore the amazing amenities our province has to offer. The hands show distances between cities in 50km segments.’
The best part is that 4:20 points at nelson BC which is a weed leaf (looking at you noe). Go check out the sale if you’re looking for...

Malmsten Vårutställning
I made this poster a while back for the Malmsten spring Exhibition. I wanted it to be colourful and fun while referencing iconic pieces from Malmstens own work.

Table Tennis
blazer blue paint job
Me and Greg built a ping pong table for the ID studio a couple weeks ago. We wanted it to be regulation while still being fun. It also had to accommodate the rain and uneven patio of the studio deck. We solved it with a solution of putting our 2 x 4 frame on a bolt and screw system allowing us to level each corner of the table. The table was made mostly from scrap wood and...

Cabinet Model
Model Cabinet
The Exchange Show is on at the Concourse Gallery this week so I had to make a piece to submit. I chose to make a model of the cabinet me and Hannes Lundin are working on together. The model is almost entirely hand cut and glued from basswood (got lazy and laser cut the drawers). I thought it would be nice to have a scale model while we are still working on the design.

IDS West “Future Masters”
IDS West was this weekend and I was happy to be showing a chair that I made as part of the Artsy Dartsy Future Masters showcase. Thanks to everybody who helped setup the show or came down to see it! Busy week ends (sort of) and mini vacation starts now, going fishing.

Rolling Milk Crate Storage
Front view
Greg brought in some milk crates into the studio for storage and we decided to give them some added function. I spent an hour yesterday afternoon building some lids and bases to create some rolling storage. This is a simple diy project with a low cost of about $10 per unit

Back to school
Text post to test out this new theme that andy finished up. Needs some tweaking to fit my content. Thinking about grad project ideas while doing some side projects going as well. Things are looking to be super busy come next week.
